Win-win for US-India trade - BusinessLine

During Prime Minister Modi's visit to Washington, the US and India announced several initiatives to strengthen their bilateral trade and manufacturing ties. The US aims to reduce its dependence on China and replace Russia as India's leading defence supplier. Some of the agreements include a $2.75 billion semiconductor unit in Gujarat, Boeing setting up logistics in India to boost the aircraft servicing industry, and the US Navy finalising agreements for shiprepair facilities in Chennai, Mumbai, and Goa. These initiatives signal a positive way to strengthen ties between both countries.
