Vistara-Air India merger on track: CEO Vinod Kannan - BusinessLine

Vistara Airlines CEO, Vinod Kannan, announced that the merger of Vistara with Air India is progressing as planned and expects all regulatory approvals to be received by April 2024. The merger aims to drive synergies and gain market share in the domestic market. The Competition Commission of India is currently reviewing the transaction. The airline is also continuing to expand its operations, with plans to launch flights to Bali and increase frequencies to Europe. Vistara recorded its first-ever operating profit in the third quarter of the previous fiscal year.
