Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, has announced plans to develop the region of Vidarbha into a logistics hub through road, airport, and rail expansion. He also mentioned the Wainganga-Nalganga river linking project, which will provide sustainable irrigation and eliminate water scarcity in the region. Fadnavis stated that the government is committed to making Vidarbha economically prosperous and drought-free. The development process has been accelerated with projects like the Samruddhi Expressway and the new airport in Nagpur. Fadnavis also highlighted the success of the Jal Yukta Shivar project in increasing groundwater levels.
