US to make India into naval logistics hub for Indo-Pac region - Naval Technology

The US is seeking to help India develop its naval and maritime infrastructure to become a regional hub for ship repair and maintenance in the Indo-Pacific region. This move comes after the creation of the India-US Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X). The strengthening defence ties between the US and India come as military and security cooperation is becoming central to their strategic relationship. This addition of India would bring extra naval maintenance capacity to US and allied maritime efforts and deny China a foothold in the strategically located country.
