The US and India have announced the creation of INDUS-X, a joint technology accelerator aimed at improving collaboration and interoperability in the defence industry. It provides a pathway to funnel start-up and commercial company technology into US and Indian defence agencies and is part of a broader initiative to create high-priority opportunities for cooperation between the two nations in areas including air combat, undersea domain awareness, and logistics. The Indian Ministry of Defence is seeking to increase annual exports to $5bn by 2025 and sees co-development with the US as helping to achieve that target.
