India has the potential to become a Green Hydrogen exporter, according to Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh. He announced the launch of the National Green Hydrogen Mission with a budget of $2.4 billion. Singh praised India's efforts in fighting climate change and highlighted the country's renewable energy resources and R&D ecosystem. He also mentioned the potential for job generation through the startup ecosystem and the release of a draft R&D roadmap for the Green Hydrogen ecosystem. A public-private partnership framework called SHIP will be established under the Mission.
