Understanding the role of India’s waterways in Nepal’s supply chains - Logistics Insider

India and Nepal have a unique trade relationship, with Nepal relying on India for trade support. Nepal recently signed a treaty with India that allows it access to three of India's river ports, which will significantly reduce logistics costs and improve access to international markets. This increased connectivity will benefit Nepal's exporters and reduce dependence on limited overland routes. Access to India's ports and inland waterways will also lead to infrastructure development in Nepal and attract investment in the logistics sector.
