The initiative focuses on allowing ships to exit three Ukrainian ports: Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Pivdennyi. These ports have been blockaded since Russia exited a grain deal, obstructing safe passage. Kyiv aims to reopen trade routes, but shipowners and insurers are cautious due to the danger. Despite Russia's military threat and the risk of mining, Ukraine is implementing routes to facilitate movement in and out of its ports.
