The United States will assist India in building up its naval and maritime infrastructure to develop an Indo-Pacific regional hub for ship repairs and maintenance. This partnership aims to enhance the allied forces in the region and counter China's increasing naval presence in countries like Djibouti, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The INDUS-X, a partnership for defence acceleration between the two nations, will lead the way in facilitating cooperation in the military and national security sectors. The development of a naval ship repair and maintenance hub in India will be beneficial for both countries.
