The India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (IBCC), Tripura Chapter, has written a letter to Bangladesh's Minister of Shipping, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury. They are seeking his intervention to improve transport between India and Bangladesh. The letter requests the escalation of border roads and river ways to facilitate the movement of goods transport vehicles. They also ask for the broadening of connecting roads and solid carpeting for easy movement of trucks. Additionally, they request the heightening of low-lying bridges over rivers and the lifting of restrictions on export facilities through Tripura.
