The transit time of trains carrying milk from Gujarat to the Delhi National Capital Region has been reduced by nearly 10 hours due to the operationalization of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), according to the DFCCIL. Approximately 35 lakh litres of milk is supplied daily by Banas and Mehsana dairy to Delhi NCR. The transit time for Millennium trains for Banas Dairy has been reduced by 37.23% in July 2023. The DFC has commissioned 77.2% of its length and aims to complete the remaining sections within a year.
