The system, called persistent common operational picture, provided leaders with a clearer understanding of their supplies and logistical needs. The work on this system was tied to the U.S. Army Pacific and potential missions in the Indo-Pacific. The goal was to enable the theater sustainment command and units that rely on it to do their job more effectively. The exercise, led by Australia, included 30,000-plus troops from various countries.
