The White House has stated that the US-India relationship is of "positive strategic consequence" ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's three-day state visit to Washington DC on June 21. Speaking at a panel discussion during the annual 'India Ideas Summit' of the US India Business Council, Principal Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer said the US-India partnership has deepened and expanded under various administrations. The governments are now deepening strategic convergence, strengthening policy alignment and expanding defence industrial and technology cooperation to create "a world as more open and more prosperous, more secure, more stable, more resilient."
