  • The National Logistics Policy provides for seamless integration of multiple modes of transportation and aims to reduce logistics costs and time, and improve efficiency across sectors3.
  • The policy lays down a comprehensive policy framework that is interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral, and multi-jurisdictional for the development of India’s US$200 billion logistics sector4.
  • The policy also aims to create a system of unified logistics interface to link multiple data sources and develop cross sectoral use cases for logistics stakeholders2.
  • Enhancing interoperability and minimizing physical assets standardization are also part of the policy2.
  • The policy is expected to benefit businesses by reducing logistics costs and time, improving efficiency across sectors, and improving India’s competitiveness in the domestic and export markets3.
