The Indian government has appointed T K Ramachandran as the new Secretary of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, replacing Sudhansh Pant in a bureaucratic reshuffle. Ramachandran, currently serving as Chairman of the V O Chidambaranar Port Authority, is on central deputation until December of this year. Pant has been appointed Officer on Special Duty in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, and will take over as Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at the end of July.
