Swiggy expands Indian e-grocery space - Retail Insight Network

Swiggy, a top Indian food-aggregator service provider, has acquired Lynk Logistics, a retail distribution company, to enter the e-grocery space. Lynk Logistics offers a technology platform for retail distribution, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management. With this acquisition, Swiggy aims to utilize Lynk Logistics' platform and distribution network to expand its market presence and diversify its food aggregation services. The move comes as the Indian retail sector undergoes rapid digitization with the launch of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) platform, which poses a threat to established players in the e-commerce sector.
