Hong Kong-based shipping enterprise SITC International Holdings has announced the launch of a new direct service connecting the China/Southeast Asia – India East Coast trade lane. The service will extend to Vizag and Chennai starting from September 2023. The move is expected to strengthen SITC's presence in Asia and tap into the potential of the Indian trade market. SITC will be represented by Eastern Liners Shipping in India, which has an extensive network spanning over 20 locations. The new service, named FIE1, will have a weekly port rotation and also cater to inland locations such as Bengaluru, Jajpur, and Nepal.
