Kolkata-based startup eParivahan has signed a two-year contract with Steel Authority of India (SAIL) to provide logistics automation services. eParivahan offers an online platform for on-demand road transport, simplifying procurement and enhancing efficiency. The company has previously worked with companies including Polycab Wire and Captain Steel, saving them 10-15% on logistics costs. This partnership aligns with India's National Logistics Policy (NLP), which aims to reduce logistics costs to single digits as a percentage of GDP. eParivahan's platform eliminates the need for GPS devices, instead utilising its unique GSM-enabled technology for accurate vehicle tracking.
