Russia's investigative body confirms Wagner chief was killed in plane crash - India Today

Russia's Investigative Committee has confirmed that Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the mercenary force Wagner, was killed in a plane crash. The crash happened between Moscow and St. Petersburg, and all seven passengers and three crew members died. Prigozhin had previously led a short-lived armed rebellion against Russia's military and had cut a deal with the Kremlin to end the revolt. A preliminary US intelligence assessment suggests that the plane was intentionally exploded, leading to suspicion of an assassination attempt on Prigozhin.
