Gadkari revealed that work has already begun on the project, with a presentation by the Tata group. The proposal involves installing electric cables, similar to those used on railway lines, on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway and the Ring Road in Nagpur. Gadkari also expressed his aim to extend the initiative to freight trucks in order to reduce logistics costs and make India's export market more competitive. Additionally, Gadkari highlighted the need to address road safety and reduce the high number of road accidents in the country.
