Rhenus targets nearshoring with LATAM investments - Air Cargo News

German freight forwarder Rhenus Group has expanded its presence in Latin America with the acquisition of BLU Logistics and a majority stake in LBH Group. The move will expand Rhenus' presence in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Mainland China, and Hong Kong, as well as strengthen its presence in the LATAM region. The acquisitions will enhance Rhenus' Asia-Latam business and service options, particularly for the e-commerce industry. Rhenus will also benefit from BLU's forwarding presence on the transpacific trade lane. The deals are still subject to approval by Colombian antitrust authorities.
