Rhenus Logistics and KTZ to enhance transhipment of Caspian Sea - India Shipping News

Rhenus Logistics and Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ) have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop middle corridor capacity and freight handling. Rhenus and KTZ plan to develop transhipment facilities in Aktau and Kuryk, logistic centres in the Caspian region, and a container hub in Aktau. They will aim to attract more transit cargo through the corridor, which provides access to more than 90 million consumers in the Central Asian market. Rhenus already has a strong presence in the region, and the two companies have signed the agreement as part of a broader German-Kazakh approach to strengthen transport and logistics ties.
