Mahindra Logistics Ltd (MLL) has pledged to empower drivers and recognise their contribution to India's economy. The company aims to target areas such as skill development, wellness, and family welfare to offer holistic support to drivers. The firm is also taking steps to bridge a skills gap: by 2023-24, only around 450 skilled drivers are expected to be available per 1,000 trucks. To help with this, over 20,000 drivers were trained through a programme called Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. The company plans to expand driver welfare with its "Samantar" programme.
