Investments in the Indian real estate sector by private equity firms reached $1.3 billion in the April-June 2023 quarter, up 85% from the same period last year. Commercial office assets accounted for 66% of the total investment volume, while industrial and logistics assets in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai attracted 20% of the quarterly investment inflows. Foreign institutional investors were responsible for all the investments received during the quarter, with a focus on Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Hyderabad. Several large-scale transactions were completed, supporting the growth of niche segments such as warehousing, logistics, and co-working spaces.
