Industry associations are urged to participate in the E logs platform and discuss their concerns to help Service Investment Group (SIG) address them quickly. This was stated by the Special Secretary, DPIIT, Logistics Division, Sumita Dawra, during the 5th SIG meeting in New Delhi. The meeting successfully resolved major trade issues and emphasized the need for rationalizing shipping costs and improving drafts at major ports. The Visakhapatnam Port Authority also announced the withdrawal of priority berthing charges, which was welcomed by industry associations. The meeting also discussed the rationalization of costs for airport terminal operations and the acceptance of electronic bill of lading by banks.
