India's logistics sector, worth $160 billion, is projected to grow at a CAGR of 10.5%. However, logistics costs as a percentage of GDP in India are estimated to be 13-14%, compared to the 8% of OECD countries. India ranks 38th out of 139 countries in the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index. To improve the logistics sector, the Indian government has launched the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan and the National Logistics Policy, which aim to provide world-class infrastructure and optimize transportation costs.
