Singaporean shipping company PIL has successfully launched its first block train service from Huai Hua to Beibu Gulf in China. The train carried 40 containers of chemical raw materials, which were transferred to a PIL vessel at Beibu Gulf Port and then shipped to Malaysia. The integration of rail-sea services has reduced delivery time by 11 days and shortened the distance by almost 2,000 kilometres. PIL aims to expand its intermodal service across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Oceania.
