Ocean Giants unite to forge mega fleet of semi-submersible vessels - India Shipping News

China-based companies COSCO SHIPPING Specialized and Guangzhou Salvage have formed a joint venture to create a fleet of 18 semi-submersible vessels by the end of 2023. The fleet will be commercially managed by the joint venture and COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Transport. The range of vessels will include two of the largest semi-submersible vessels in the world. As a result of this deal, an exclusive commercial management agreement between United Heavy Transport and Guangzhou Salvage has expired.
