NYK, a Tokyo-based shipping company, has acquired a 25% stake in PT. Patimban International Car Terminal (PICT), a car terminal operator in the Indonesian port of Patimban. The port has been under construction since 2018 and aims to alleviate congestion issues at Tanjung Priok, another port in Jakarta. NYK's investment will allow them to offer logistics services to vehicle manufacturers entering the Indonesian market and contribute to the country's economic development.
