NDR Warehousing has announced its participation in the auction of silo warehouses by Food Corporation of India, as the company aims to expand its portfolio in the logistics and storage sector. FCI has invited tenders for silo warehouses at 66 locations with a total storage capacity of 30.75 lakh tons and a value of ₹1,000 crore. NDR Warehousing plans to add seven million square feet of leasable area over the next two years with an investment of ₹2,000 crore and aims to add 15 million square feet over the next four years. The warehouses will eventually be included in the NDR InvIT Trust, an infrastructure investment trust. The offering will consist of 20 warehousing assets spread across 12 markets. Bahrain-based private equity investor Investcorp has invested ₹900 crore into the InvIT and is in talks with other investors to bring them on board. According to JLL India, India's total warehousing supply is expected to exceed 500 million square feet by 2026.
