India's largest seaport, Mundra in Gujarat, celebrated its 25th anniversary. The port, which has a capacity of over 260 million tonnes, handled 155 million tonnes of cargo in fiscal year 2022-23. It serves as a key trade gateway, with 33% of India's container traffic flowing through the port. Mundra has contributed over Rs 2.25 lakh crore to the state and national exchequer since its inception. The port has also been involved in eco-conscious activities such as mangrove afforestation and conservation. Chairman Gautam Adani described Mundra as a symbol of India's progress and expressed confidence in its continued growth.
