Logistics brand MOVIN, launched as a joint venture between UPS and InterGlobe Enterprises, is adding electric vehicles to its fleet for first and last-mile deliveries in India. The move is aimed at reducing carbon emissions and aligning with MOVIN's sustainability goals. The EVs will commence operation in Delhi-NCR before being deployed in Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Pune by the end of 2023. Each vehicle has the capacity to carry weight up to 850 kgs and can cover a distance of 120 km on a single charge. MOVIN aims to mitigate 200 tons of CO2 emissions within the next 12 months with the EV deployment.
