Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) in Gujarat, India, is set to sign a concession agreement with DP World for the development of a new mega container terminal. The terminal, located in Tuna-Tekra near Kandla, will have an annual capacity of 2.19 million container units. The project aligns with the Indian government's goal of quadrupling port handling capacity and improving logistics infrastructure. The 30-year agreement is on a build-operate-transfer basis and includes sustainability measures. The terminal will enhance trade connectivity with Northern, Western, and Central India. The project is part of the National Infrastructure Pipeline.
