Indian mobile phone company, Micromax Informatics, which was once a market leader, is facing challenges due to strong competition and a market slowdown. The company is now reportedly looking to enter the electric vehicle (EV) market. However, it has recently axed dozens of jobs, and top executives have resigned. Micromax is also experiencing a decline in consumer demand and complaints on social media. The company's shift to EVs would focus initially on two-wheel electric vehicles. Micromax previously reinvented itself by entering the smartphone market in 2008 with low-cost devices.
