London-listed company Mercantile Ports & Logistics reported a widened pretax loss of £12.1 million ($15.2 million) for 2022, despite higher revenue. The company's revenue for the period rose to £4.9 million from £1.8 million. In the first quarter of 2023, revenue was £1.6 million, and the company expects this momentum to continue. Mercantile Ports & Logistics is in talks with shipping lines to handle containers at its Karanja Port facility. Shares of the company were down 6.7% at 3.5 pence.
