The Port of Antwerp-Bruges has announced that starting from 15 January 2024, all transport operators will be required to pick up containers using Certified Pick up. This new system will eliminate the use of pin codes for container pickups, streamlining the import process. In the coming months, Certified Pick up will be made available for barge and rail at the terminals, with pilot projects to follow. The implementation will also include a complete link with Secure Container Release for shipping companies.
