A.P. Moller - Maersk and Amazon have signed an agreement for the transportation of 20,000 FFE containers using green biofuel. This is the fourth consecutive year that the companies have utilized low greenhouse gas (GHG) fuel options for container shipping. The use of green biofuel is estimated to reduce CO2e emissions by 44,600 metric tons. Amazon will also benefit from the use of green methanol in addition to biodiesel. Both companies are committed to decarbonizing maritime shipping and reducing GHG emissions.
