Maersk deploys AI enabled robotic solution in UK Warehouse - India Shipping News

Maersk, a logistics integrator, is implementing an AI-enabled robotic solution in its new UK warehouse. The system, developed by Berkshire Grey, is expected to significantly enhance and accelerate warehouse operations. It can sort orders three times faster than manual systems and improve inventory picking by up to 33%. The implementation aims to increase the competitiveness of Maersk's fulfillment service and improve the resilience and flexibility of customers' supply chains. The warehouse, located at SEGRO Logistics Park East Midlands Gateway, will begin operations in October 2023. Maersk plans to open additional warehouses across Europe in 2023 and 2024.
