Lucknow is becoming an important Industrial and Logistics (I&L) hub in northern India, according to CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd. The region has seen significant investment from companies like Amazon and Flipkart in the past five years, with more expected in the development of warehouses. Demand for warehousing space in Lucknow has consistently grown, reaching record levels in FY23. The city has attracted major companies such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Mahindra Logistics to set up their facilities there. The growth of warehousing in Lucknow is supported by factors like affordable land, good road connectivity, and government policies promoting private investment. The I&L sector in India is also seeing growth, with leasing increasing by 22% in H1'23. Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore were the top cities for leasing activity. The report also noted that 3PL companies had the majority share in leasing.
