Bengaluru-based logistics startup, Porter, is facing registration of cases after violating rules, as confirmed by the Karnataka transport department. The company operates trucks for cargo movement without obtaining the necessary goods carriage permit and displaying advertisements without proper permissions. The department has booked over 100 cases against Porter drivers and imposed fines of Rs 5,000 each. Porter can apply for the permit to continue its operations in the city. The company is considering ceasing advertising on vehicles operating in Karnataka if legal challenges persist.
