Saudi Arabia's King Abdulaziz Port has received its first cargo ship powered by eco-friendly liquefied natural gas (LNG), reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 67%. The port is aiming to improve its connectivity and increase the transport and logistics sector's contribution to the country's GDP from 6% to 10% by 2030. Saudi Arabia is also focused on promoting sustainable practices and aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2060. The docking further strengthens the strategic partnership between Saudi Ports Authority and French shipping company CMA CGM Group.
