Saudi Arabia's Jeddah Islamic Port set a new record in July by handling 491,197 TEUs, the largest box volume ever processed in a 30-day period. This breaks the previous record of 473,676 TEUs set in June. The Saudi Ports Authority aims to achieve a 45% share in the regional transshipment market and a sector-wide annual capacity of 40 million TEUs. The port has been growing rapidly and is seen as a leading East-West trade hub with top-notch infrastructure and logistics solutions.
