Indigenously-built Indian naval ship to visit Sri Lanka - The Hindu

The Indian naval ship 'Khanjar' will visit Sri Lanka's Trincomalee harbor for three days to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and promote maritime security in the region. The ship's commanding officer will meet with the commander of the Sri Lanka Navy and various professional interactions will take place. The ship will also be open for visits by school children and will participate in activities such as yoga sessions and beach cleaning. This visit follows the recent agreement between Indian and Sri Lankan leaders to promote connectivity and economic partnership.
