Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has agreed to purchase General Atomics MQ-9B SeaGuardian drones and to work with General Electric to co-produce the F414 Jet Engine in India during his high-profile visit to the US. The country has also made a ship repair deal with the US and it will produce manufacture 99 engines for India's Air Force. The trip was the catalyst for rolling out new defense collaboration between India and the US, with initiatives centered on technology sharing, strengthening undersea domain awareness cooperation, and mitigating defense supply chain disruptions.
