Indian theatre commands - The Express Tribune

India has announced the creation of three integrated theatre commands by 2025. These commands will consist of forces from the Air Force, Navy, and Army, and will be led by a senior commander from any of the three services. This move is aimed at improving coordination and operational response. Currently, India has two integrated tri-service commands, while Pakistan and India have lagged behind in developing integrated commands compared to the US, Russia, and China. The push for integration came after the Kargil War in 1999, when there was a lack of consensus on the use of air assets.
