The Indian naval ship ‘Khanjar’ has arrived in Sri Lanka's Trincomalee port for a three-day visit aimed at enhancing ties and interoperability between the Indian and Sri Lankan navies. The visit is seen as significant in terms of potential cooperation in addressing shared challenges for maritime security in the region. The ship, an indigenously-built Missile Corvette of the Khukri class, will engage in various activities including professional exchanges and sports fixtures. It will also be open for a visit by school children and will carry out activities such as a yoga session, beach cleaning, and visits to a special school.
