India's micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) could drive India's e-commerce industry, surpassing the US and becoming the second largest e-commerce industry in the world by 2034, according to a survey by logistics firm Shiprocket. MSMEs could enhance cross-border trade, opening up access to global markets and contributing to 40% of India's overall exports, according to the survey. Shiprocket serves more than 27,000 retailers generating a gross merchandise value of more than $3bn annually.
