India reports 18% parcel volume growth in 2022 - ITLN

India has seen a significant increase in parcel volumes, surpassing other countries, according to the Pitney Bowes Index. The country's booming e-commerce industry and focus on digital transformation have contributed to this achievement. In 2022, India shipped, received, and returned 3.2 billion parcels, representing a substantial increase from the previous year. The per capita parcel volume also saw impressive growth, reflecting the growing reliance on e-commerce in Indian households. Meanwhile, global parcel volumes increased by 1 percent, impacted largely by lockdowns in China.
