India and New Zealand have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance their cooperation in civil aviation. The MoU allows for the establishment of new flight routes, code share services, traffic rights, and capacity entitlement. The agreement grants designated airlines from both countries the permission to operate services using various aircraft types, with third and fourth freedom traffic rights. The MoU also covers cargo services and emphasizes the importance of the open sky policy in strengthening air transport between the two countries.
