IAF trials Heavy Drop System in move to enhance military logistics - what is it? - Republic World

The Indian Air Force (IAF) recently conducted successful trials of the Heavy Drop System developed by the Aerial Delivery Research & Development Establishment (ADRDE). The system is used for precise para-dropping of military supplies and vehicles. Different variants of the system have been integrated into the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, with weight capacities ranging from three to 16 tonnes. The system aligns with the Make in India program and has demonstrated its capabilities in various terrains. A naval variant has also been developed and delivered to the Indian Navy.
